2010-09-19 00:00:00 - Busy, Busy, Busy

Posted By: annihilator Category: General

Ok, so things have been pretty busy recently with work so I have not been around much. Drizzle is in a bit of an iffy state at the moment, it doesn't need much work but it also needs a proper test process *shakes fist at Indy Games submission process*

I have been working on a few bits and pieces in my spare time which I will hopefully have something worth showing soon. Hopefully I will be able to get some attention back to the site and return it to its former glory (if that ever existed ).

On another side note, I am more than likely going to take the forums down until the site picks up a bit. They are not really getting used for anything other than spam and I don't have the time to moderate through the member list for spam users.

2010-07-25 00:00:00 - Back in Peer Review

Posted By: annihilator Category: Drizzle

Drizzle is now back in peer review after a pretty silly mess up with assets and core game information being drawn into the safe region.
If all goes well Drizzle should be available on Xbox Live Indie Games soon.

Hey everyone,
Drizzle is now back in playtest for the Xbox Live Indie Games platform. We have added various bug fixes and fixed some crashes. We have also added a new cloud spawn warning indicator that warns the player when a cloud is spawning.

The game can be downloaded from the XNA forums, here: XNA Forums
You will need a Creators Club account to view this forum.

Please give Drizzle a try and post some feedback

2009-12-01 00:00:00 - Unreal Development Kit is now free

Posted By: annihilator Category: General

Good news for any small game development studios or hobby game developers. The Unreal Development Kit is now free to use on the PC platform.

The UDK provides the power of Unreal Engine 3 through thier Unreal Editor and Unreal Scripting language.

We have decided to make use of this engine for a game that we are developing and so far it is proving to be very useful because of the powerful design tools and easy to use scripting language.

I will upload some screenshots of the project as soon as it starts coming together. If you are interested in using the UDK yourself, you can check it out here
